27×7′s Rewind: Is LeBron The Playoffs MVP Thus Far?

by Bill Bradley on May 11, 2011

Today’s Rewind begs the question: Who is the NBA’s playoff MVP so far?

That query comes in light of LeBron James’ monster game against the Boston Celtics in Tuesday’s Game 4, putting the Miami Heat in position to close out the Eastern Conference semifinal playoff series Wednesday night.

James is averaging 25.3 points a game, tied for seventh with teammate Dwayne Wade. Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant is first with 30.9 points a game followed closely by Chicago’s Derrick Rose at 29.8.

But there’s more to being a playoffs MVP than just scoring. Take a look at this clip of LeBron’s Game 4 domination. Then tell me: Who is your playoffs MVP, James, Rose, Durant, Russell Westbrook or Dirk Nowitzki — or someone else?
